Recipe for delicious meatballs with rice in a slow cooker. Rice with chicken meatballs in a slow cooker Meatballs with rice gravy in a slow cooker

If you want to surprise your family and prepare “pilaf” in an unusual way, present them with two-color “rice” with meatballs in a slow cooker. This is not a very familiar dish - a version of fried vermicelli with rice, and even with a meat additive, will be not only tasty, but also original. You can use any meat for this – pork, beef, chicken (the dish will be prepared faster with chicken meat).

Ingredients:

  • rice – 1.5 multi cups
  • orzo pasta – 1 multi cup
  • pork – 400 g
  • carrots – 1/2 pcs (if they are small, take a whole one)
  • vegetable oil – 3 tbsp.
  • onions – 1 pc.
  • yolk – 1 pc.
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • paprika – 1 tsp.
  • salt and pepper - to taste
  • water – 4 multi glasses
  • number of servings – 7-8 pcs

How to cook meatballs with rice in a slow cooker:

The first step is to prepare the meatballs. Grind the pork pulp through a meat grinder. Peel the onion and garlic, turn it through a fine mesh meat grinder, and add it to the minced meat. Add the egg yolk, salt, pepper and stir. It is better not to add egg white; without it, meat products are much softer and tastier.

Roll the minced meat into small meatballs the size of a walnut. It is more convenient to do this with wet palms, so the minced meat will not stick to the skin.

Turn on the multicooker using the “frying/stewing” mode. Pour vegetable oil into the bowl and add the meatballs. Turning occasionally, fry them on all sides until crust appears. Our task at this stage is not to fry the meatballs until cooked, but to “seal” them so that they do not fall apart later. The fried meatballs should be removed from the bowl.

Place peeled and chopped carrots into a bowl. Fry it as usual until golden brown, this will take about 10 minutes. Then place the carrots in a separate bowl.

After frying the carrots, there is vegetable oil left in the bowl. There is no need to pour it out; we will fry the pasta on it. So, pour the orzo pasta into the multicooker bowl and, stirring constantly with a spatula, fry until brown. It will take us 10-12 minutes. If you don't have such a paste, you can skip this step.

Place the fried carrots on the rice, and then the meatballs. Fill it with water (it’s better to take boiling water right away), close the lid of the multicooker and turn on the “cereals” mode. Pilaf with meatballs in a slow cooker will take about 45 minutes to cook (this depends on what type of rice you used). Open the lid and taste the rice - if it is ready, then the dish is ready.

Serve hot, garnished with herbs. Bon appetit!!!

In winter, when the price of fresh vegetables in stores goes beyond all reasonable limits, and the vitamin content is rapidly melting due to long-term storage, it’s time to use deep-frozen products. They are sold in our stores all year round, and their prices are quite affordable. Here is one of the dishes, tasty and healthy: rice cooked in a slow cooker with vegetables and meatballs.

This dish is easiest to prepare if you take a mixture of frozen vegetables to which rice has already been added. For example, Hawaiian mixture. But you can take any other one, and add rice yourself, and make the ratio to your taste: some will like it if there are more vegetables, while others will like it if there is more rice.

Meatballs with rice and frozen vegetables turn out very tasty in a slow cooker, and they are easy and simple to prepare. Try it and see for yourself!

Recipe for rice with vegetables and meatballs in a slow cooker

What we need for cooking:

  1. Minced meat - 500-600 grams
  2. One onion
  3. Hawaiian mixture - 400 grams
  4. Sunflower oil - 2 tablespoons
  5. Salt to taste

Peel the onion and cut into half rings. Pour some sunflower oil into a saucepan and add chopped onions.

Turn on the baking mode and fry the onion until transparent for 10 minutes.

We take minced meat and form meatballs from the minced meat with our hands. If it doesn't stick well, you can wet your hands.

I took ground beef. You can use any minced meat: chicken, turkey, or a mixture of beef and pork.

Pour the Hawaiian mixture onto the onion, add the meatballs, drowning them in the vegetables.

Add salt and a little hot water until the meatballs are barely covered. You don’t need to add a lot of water, otherwise the dish will take a long time to cook and the vegetables and rice will boil.

We turn on the PLOV mode and after 30 minutes the multicooker can be turned off.

The aromatic rice with frozen vegetables and meatballs in the slow cooker is ready, put it on plates and serve. You can decorate with greenery.

It turned out very quickly, tasty and satisfying. This dish can feed the whole family. Bon appetit!

See our photo recipe, repeat after us, and your family will never stop asking you to cook this delicious dish.

Minced pork and beef - 500 gr.
Onion - 2 pcs.
Rice - 100 gr.
Carrot - 1 PC.
Wheat flour - 30 gr.
White bread - 50 gr.
Sour cream - 300 gr.
Egg - 1 PC.
Vegetable oil - for frying
Salt - taste
Spices - taste
Water - 500 ml.

Let's start cooking

Step 1

First you need to cook the rice. Rinse it thoroughly under cold water at least seven times until the water becomes clear. Then add clean water on top, at least half a liter, so that when you immerse your finger in water, the water covers it on the phalanx.

Boil the rice until half cooked and remove from heat, cool to room temperature. While it's cooling, let's get to the other ingredients for the meatballs.

Grate the onion on a fine grater and add to the previously defrosted minced meat.
Soak white bread (without crusts!) in water for some time until it becomes a paste, and then add it to the minced meat.

Combine the cooled rice with the minced meat, add the egg, salt, and spices to taste.

We form balls from the resulting mass and put them in the refrigerator temporarily so that the meat “sets” a little.

On a note: You can change the recipe a little and add finely chopped fresh herbs - this will not spoil the meatballs in the slow cooker.

Step 2

Wash the carrots and the remaining onion, remove the husks and skin. Chop the onion into cubes and grate the carrots, as in the photo.

We activate the “Frying” mode on the display of the kitchen device, pour in vegetable oil, and first fry the onion, and when it browns a little, add grated carrots to it.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, mix water, sour cream, salt to taste, and flour. It is better to use a blender for these purposes to avoid unpleasant lumps of flour in the original dish.

Add fried onions and carrots to the resulting mixture.

Place the meatballs at the bottom of the multicooker bowl, pour in the resulting gravy, and activate the “Stew” mode.

The time it takes a slow cooker to cook meatballs in sour cream sauce is 40 minutes.
Boiled potatoes are perfect as a side dish.

The energy value per 100 grams of the finished product will be about 200 calories; more precisely, it is impossible, since everything depends on the ratio of pork to beef in the minced meat, and on the fat content of the sour cream. One thing is clear - the dish turns out to be quite satisfying, and, importantly, tasty. However, it is better to treat yourself to such food at lunch.

Option for a couple

Have you decided to prepare a dish for children or people with gastrointestinal diseases? The steam function will help you. Using a special container, we will not only make meatballs in a slow cooker, but also prepare a side dish for them.

  • Based on the recipe for minced meat, we prepare it in the same way.
  • Pour 1 multi-cup of washed rice or potatoes into the bottom of the multi-cooker bowl, and fill with two multi-cups of water so that it does not touch the container for steaming. Salt as desired.
  • Place the meatballs in the container, place it on the multicooker, and turn on the “Steamer” mode for 30-40 minutes.

Ready! Meatballs with steamed rice are delicious.

If desired, you can prepare tomato sauce in a separate bowl - the recipe is outrageously simple:

  • fry finely chopped onion in a frying pan with vegetable oil;
  • then add a little flour, thoroughly rubbing the lumps with a wooden spatula, and fry it for 5 minutes;
  • Add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste to the mixture in a frying pan, pour in 1 glass of hot boiled water, let the sauce boil and stand for a couple of minutes.

Thus, someone will be able to eat dietary meatballs in a steamed slow cooker, while others will get juicy meatballs with rice in a slow cooker in tomato or sour cream sauce.
